The bars where people used to congregate to make merry and exchange ideas are all prohibitively jackedup so high that all us poor people are excluded. There’s just nowhere that poor folks can really gather anymore without getting the business from The Man. The books that get published are always empire propaganda, a fascist prez has sicced violent, brutal goonsquads on everybody who makes any noise for human rights and the specator society hypnotized haves on the hill are all devotedly tuned in to their prefrred Coke or Pepsi echo chamber, partisan sports team slogans. Called a friend the other day, an out of towner, and I could hear from his tone how he is wtaaching too much tv, and talking to me from that midwestern male filter. One guy said he was really into Guns N Roses and Nirvana so I sent him some tracks by summa my old Dollsy/Ramones like garage bands and I never heard back from him. I always ask people what they do for fun and they just look at me, like that’s a ridiculous question. Old boomers got money, but everybody else here just barely scrapes by. I haerd that song, “Runnin’ Down A Dream” and realized everybody I used to ride across country in cars with are dead and gone now. The world here seems more divided than anytime in my lifetimes between the murderous, complicit, really don’t give a shits and the rest of us who are bing silenced and oppressed, shutout and blacklisted. I don’t believe elections are really that meaningful at all. The shady billionaires decide which asshole they wanna install behind some podium, all the boughtoff whores of congress make laws that benefit these evil entities at our expense, and the little people like me, really get no say.
