  • Dumbell “Electrifying Tales”

Honestly, I’ve been a bit sick of all those “action rock” kind of bands these last years. I mean, there’s been so many of those airy guys in MOTÖRHEAD shirts playing the same fast songs over and over again… Luckily you’ll still find a couple of bands standing out in that style, and DUMBELL is… Read more

  • Dr. Cranknstein “L.A.”

An album about Los Angeles by a band from Switzerland with an American singer, Eliot Chambers who released several solo albums before. The opening song “Fly’n To L.A.” has a CHEAP TRICK feel and this can’t be a bad thing, can it? DR. CRANKNSTEIN plays hard rock’n’roll with big 80s influences and they do it… Read more

  • Dirty Glory “It’s On” EP

3 songs delivered straight from Sao Paulo, Brazil! DIRTY GLORY are influenced by the whole American glam metal scene and they sure don’t hide it. “Mr. Jack” could be described as a mix of SKID ROW and BANG TANGO, “The Energy” is more melodic, think WARRANT jamming with PRETTY BOY FLOYD, and “Sweetie” is a… Read more

  • Demons Alley “Dead End Tricks”

This is the first album of this band from Worcester, Massachussetts though they’ve been playing since 2006 (they released a 3 song EP in 2007), and have been touring a lot (mostly in Northeast U.S.) DEMONS ALLEY like glam rock, punk rock’n’roll and sleaze rock so they can only fit on our website, right? Although… Read more

  • Cold Blue Rebels “Blood, Guts, and Rock’n’Roll (-Horror High)”

Many still cringe at the very notion of a super group, mostly due to the still vivid impression made by the legendary figureheads of punk, whilst overthrowing the dead-eyed wanking millionaires of “prog-rock”, some thirty five years ago. Since then, the Lords Of The New Church emerged from the wreckage of the Deadboys/Damned/Sham 69/Barracudas to… Read more

  • Cellulite Star “Explicit Attitude”

This isn’t really a new album (it was released in 2008), but I only got to listen to it now, and its worth being reviewed in those pages! Indeed, this all-girl band from Italy definitely deserves your attention. If you like the RUNAWAYS, then you will enjoy “Shake Your Music”, and if you’re a DONNAS… Read more
