BABY SCREAM has joined forces with Argentinian artist EZE GRUBER to offer us 11 songs drenched in psychedelic pop and new wave. Opening song “Parole” is well crafted power pop arranged with subtle synths while “Smoke And Mirrors” takes us to colorful psychedelic lands. If you liked the 70s influences in BABY SCREAM‘s previous records then you’ll enjoy songs like “Lullaby”, “H”, “The Jester” or “Puppets”. On the other hand, “21st Century Bullshit” is pure synth pop à la SOFT CELL and “Permanent Crisis Regime” is reminiscent of MOBY. The semi-acoustic side of BABY SCREAM can be heard in “Wing Of Desire” and “False Alarm” bringing a modern MARC BOLAN touch to the album. “Aubrey From Delaware” puts a sunny end to “Limbo”, a record that every melody lover should enjoy. It is out on the band’s own record label Baby Scream Records. /Laurent C.
