I know some of the grief and trauma I’m experiencing is the collective trauma of the relentless onslaught of lies we’ve all been besieged with since Bush/Cheney took office, the juggernaut of fear inducing gaslighting, flagrant genocide, and the media, military, cops, lawmakers and got-mine paychecks being all owned and operated by the bipartisan Epstein bunch, but then there is also the personal baggage and sadness that accrues from seeing so many former loved ones seduced by the dark side of the force, the thoughts coming to me have become more desperate lately, as the hope I once felt came from the direct, first hand, active experience of collaboration, sharing, organizing, communal cooperation, in being creative and telling the truth, the Little Rascals puttin’ on a show. Now everybody’s divided into little boxes, sittin’ on couches, scrollin’ on I-phones, consuming official narratives and top down psy-ops and falsehoods and by living third hand vicariously by identifying with the Baskin Robbins 31 flavors of genocidal fascist celebrity politicians of their choice, they think by joining the establishment, they’ll be safe from the gestapo, but that aint really true at all. People only really care about their own private get-high, their own vanity, mirror mirror on the wall, I’m so extra special fancy, self created, part of the elite class of privileged virtue hoarders, “good help is hard to find, why are these dirty slaves so obstinate? I want these lowly vermin obeying me. There’s a spot on the floor, fetch me my slippers, draw me my bath, slaves, listen to my trauma dump and recycle it promptly. We shall withold your rations”. I mean, seriously, man, all these dupes and partisans are as obnoxiously entitled and demanding and controlling as the Dick Cheney and Donald Trumps that even us unemployed dishwashers get lumped in with. by the indoctrinated college people. I would not want to be any of them. Nobody thinks of themself as a sellout, they just cant share space with equals.You become what you accept, when you’re willing to co-sign the dehumanization of others, even people you once knew or loved, so long as you get to feel like the girl with the most cake, it will incrementally poison your soul. Either they’re punching down on the lessers, or sucking up to the rich. It’s astounding to me when, in the farthest reaches, the U.K. and Australia usually, when a real rocknroll band can even recall how to do it. Cause in my part of the USA! USA!, everybody’s been brainwashed into believing that real joy or pleasure can only be derived from hoarding, lying, mooching, stealing, and repeating dummy mantras to themself about how they rose from the foam like Venus or jumped outta Zeus’ brain, self actualized and special, and how they done it all themselves the hard way by marrying into money. It really is crazy how the shit-lib faux liberal people are every bit as greedy and callous and short sighted and vain and drunk on their own ego trips and delusions of superiority as their rightwing one percent collaborators. They can’t even be cool no more. Me, me, me, me, me, me me, just us, we’re so special, we are the V.I.P.’s, I aint into that yuppie elitist scum shit, at all. I’m more fab then all them hipsters on Broadway. That Two York Dolls record, “Dancing Naked In High Heels” has really, really grown on me, touches me in the deepest part of my heart. It’s a testament to friendship really-David Jo and Syl, David Jo’s love for his old lady. It’s pretty magical really. Made me realize what’s gone missing from all the fake bands with all the big budgets and all the expensive clothing and gentrified zipcodes. Love. People lose all their ability to love out there in the rat race, rubbing shoulders with the rich, buttoning their lips about injustice, going with the flow, and finding somebody weaker to boss around. This record has become one of my last remaining comforts. I hope if I make it to heaven, I can visit the Dolls at the mansion of fun.
