New year, new single, New York … Hot on the heels of ‘You Are the Jet’ UK singer-songwriter Marc Valentine is back with a brand new single ‘NY UAP’ – out 23 January on Little Steven’s Wicked Cool label and produced by Dave Draper (Michael Monroe, Professionals).
Taken from the forthcoming album Uncommon Side Effects, ‘NY UAP’ is a 3-minute blast of rock’n’roll fuzz-pop, with an insanely catchy Farfisa riff, reminiscent of Plastic Letters-era Blondie.
Marc says “‘NY UAP’ is basically an allegory for life on the road. The inspiration for the song came while touring the US east coast, which happened to coincide with the infamous New Jersey UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena) sightings. I was wondering if they had an equivalent to rock’n’roll in their existence… and maybe they were on the ultimate inter-dimensional tour.”
Uncommon Side Effects is scheduled for release on Friday 10 April on Wicked Cool Records and will be available in vinyl, CD, and digital platforms. Pre-order at https://orcd.co/marcvalentinenyuap
