French power pop rock’n’rollers LES LULLIES have been touring all around the world these last years so it’s not surprising to see them release a live album. One of the band’s obvious qualities is their raw energy so recording a live show was quite a good idea. While songs like “Station Service” or “Mauvaise Foi” might remind you of early 80s French rock’n’roll/punk, some guitar riffs might also work for MOTÖRHEAD! You’ll also hear some proto-punk influences in “Zero Ambition” or “En Mai” as well as ’77 punk touches in “Pas De Regrets”, “Ville Musée”or in the catchy “Dernier Soir.” High energy power pop flirts with French 60s rock in “Mourir D’ennui” or in “Soirée Standard” and you’ll also get a cool cover of DEAD MOON‘s “Black September.” This sounds as fast and as good as a RAMONES live album! /Laurent C.
