Well, I’m back with some more tunes for you and the people. This first one is from a criminally ignored band that I loved with all my heat. They were a bright spot in the Grunge wasteland of the 90’s. Somehow, they were able to put out a Glitter Rock CD in the era of Grunge, and though he doesn’t fit the look of the band, that drummer is really good. I guess that was why they let him sport the Grunge look, but the tunes are pure 70’s inspired from start to finish. Here are two of their best tunes in one video.

I love this tune, just simple three chord rock, but I love that stuff when done right like this one was. I love the lifting of the Johnny Thunders New York Dolls era guitar solo at the end of the song. This tune has the swagger that all good three chord rock must have to be vital. This is also a good anti-war video someone put together for this tune.

That great photo of Stiv & Brian James that you posted in today’s rant inspired this video. This is my favorite Lords of the New Church video of all time. They sound great, they look great, and the audience members also look cool. I wish I had been there; I want to be in this crowd of people. This is also another Scottish TV video like the Kinky Machine was. Really great stuff. Man, I still miss Stiv.

I’m so glad I got to see three different Hedwigs. The play is so much better than the film was. I hate the way they dumbed down the film’s soundtrack compared to the original cast recording from the play. They could have gotten a better snare drum sound, but that’s my deal. This song is so epic, it still gives me chills and brings a tear to my eye even after playing it hundreds of times, I just love it. This has one of my favorite guitar solos of all time too, right up there with the likes of Mick Ronson and Ralphs.

Every one of the guys in this band are now dead, but when they were alive, they kicked ass as this video proves.

I love Lizzy, but I love the punk rock era Lizzy the best.

I sent you this years ago, it’s time we share it with your audience.

You just cannot top this. I have to end it here because nothing can follow this tune or this live version of this epic masterpiece of song writing and melody. Jimmy Webb is God! Glenn’s 12 string guitar solo is also so tasty. For a guy from the Wrecking Crew who didn’t read music he did alright for himself. This video brings me to tears every time.
