I never met the dude in real life, but we were Facebook “friends” for years, had so much in common. I really felt his pain over Shooting Gallery, I kinda been there on a smaller scale with a couple of my old groups. He was suffering over it less in recent years and was doing his own thing, I know he had a blast getting back together with his old Vixen cohorts. He wrote a book and I’ve read lengthy passages, but I don’t think they ever found a proper publisher for it. I wanted him to publish with Punk Hostage Press cause a lot of those authors are friends of mine, but he might have been loooking for a bigger payday, I dunno. All I can say is he was a helluva good writer and thinker and I pray the autobio sees daylight somewhere soon, because I believe his writing is an important part of his legacy, he was a very astute and philisophical character and I learned a great deal from him. I still hope Ben and Naomi do something with it or I can somehow eventually obtain a leaked copy of it. He was a super supportive and flattering ally and online confidante to me for so long, it really hurts. My heart goes out to his love, Naomi and his son, Ben. I had not heard from Billy in a couple of years after getting lockedout of fascist Facebook for being too anti-war and pro Palestine, but he was a wonderful storyteller, a really good singer and a rip roarin’ frontman, an all around renaissance dude and rocknroll animal. He was also totally upfront and all too candid about summa the shady stuff he got into during his heavy addiction descent into madness and depravity, thankfully, he clawed his way back out and became a shining example to others, he was funny, sweet, kind, and I will miss the brother. So talented and really underrated. Shine on, starman!
