I was worried I’d gotten Covid cause my wife was exposed to it a few days ago and I had aches and pains all day yesterday but I suspect it was just from doing outdoor labor in the hundred degree sun yesterday afternoon. We never eat out since the ruling class quadrupled everything during Covid’s much hyped first wave and tried to blame it on supply chain delays being caused by “PUTIN!” We finally go out and had the worst experience as patrons I’ve ever seen and I never complain and almost always sympathize with the workers. I’m a lifelong shitworker myself. Hell, I even worked at a badly run Pizza Hut franchise with a leaky make table in Maysville, Kentucky years ago. The longtime manager’s sister worked there and did not have to take out garbage ’cause being a Southern Belle, she claimed that was “men’s work”, and the manager let her get away with that shit-she’s smokin’ in the break room while the rest of us are working our asses off. Good ole boy politics.. I’d show up to cook and have to wait outside in the sun for an hour cause no one with keys could be there on time, it sucked. My wife worked at a Pizza Hut in Lima, Ohio and was fired for not showing up in a blizzard when most of the town’s electricity was out. Now, we live in a smalltown with three shitty overpriced Mexican restaurants and a microwaved fish place and an obscenely overpriced steakhouse. I’m vegetarian so on my wife’s birthday we decided to dine in at Pizza Hut. No salad bar, no lemon, no black pepper, no cork boards, NO PRICES ON THE MENU, a rude and obnoxious and crass loudmouth screaming waitress bussed tables as loudly as she could, resentfully slammed plates on our table, made zero effort to be civil, served us old breadsticks, was a basic crasshole, My wife complained to the manager who offered some kinda bad desert that looked like turds as begrudging compensation for all the bullshit treatment but all that stress and ruined vibe still cost us $33. We live in a crumbling desert town where ten fatcat airbandb assholes pretend like it’s some kindof tourist trap getaway, artsy new age, gentrification boomer paradise, but the streets are so damaged it fucks up your car alignment, when a neighbor’s house caught fire, the hydrants did not have adequate water pressure to extinguish it in time, You have to drive two hours outta town to get an MRI cause the hospital sucks, if you need a prescription, the ego drunk God complex doctors run you around and make you take ten blood tests (vampires everywhere!) before ponying up any critically needed medications, it just all sucks top to bottom.,College indoctrinated, middle class, culture war Karens will never get it cause they only get “offended” when topdown media tells them they should, and only ever about gender hysteria, but the real life everyday experience of working class people is being abused by fuckers you are paying, waiting in lines,bagging your own groceries, waiting forever in waiting rooms, getting jerked around, forever held hostage by unscrupulous landlords, monopoly grocery stores, bad service and a fuck you attitude everytime you step outside, while the rich shit on all of us, and the middle class gatekeepers all defend genocide and the criminalization of poverty cause they worship wealth and privilege with their fanatical partisan passions and zero content politics and hate the poor. I sometimes wish I could get the fuck out of this pyramid scheme empire of media illusions and slave driver exploitation masquerading as a country.My restless teen was talking about a job at Wal-Mart where his friends work but I was telling him Wal-Mart sucks, they permanently ruin your knees for shite wages and I should know, “try pizza making, you make lifelong friends, it’s fun”, I told him, but uh, yeah, no.
