Ex-APERS HEAVY KEVY has been a pop punk troubadour for a while now. Here he is with his first solo EP. A short piano introduction and then we are taken right into acoustic pop punk with “Something More To Someone Else” and “All Mosh No Brain” that makes kazoo fashionable again (if it ever was!) “I Can’t Help But Wonder Where I’m Bound” and “Confetti On The Floor” are more melancholic while “I Will Never Drink Again” tells us about a bad hangover. Finally, “Whatever It Takes” sounds a bit like a spoken word performance with a sweet pop chorus.”Soft Rock” actually fits these songs quite well. /Laurent C.
