This EP was recorded live at Loco Club (Valencia, Spain) and it is actually the first one under the name BABY SCREAM + EZE GRUBER. Starting with an acoustic version of “Panic Room” (released on BABY SCREAM‘s “Castell de Pop”) here played with a bit of a RADIOHEAD vibe, this EP offers a brand new sound to BABY SCREAM. “Ain’t No Sunshine” (BILL WITHERS) brings a cool soul music touch while “Spirits” leans to a darker 80s pop sound. “The Weak and The Hurt” brings NIN‘s “hurt” to mind although it sounds like a mix of folk and electronica whereas “Drive” (The CARS) is another great cover you’ll hear on this EP. The only studio song on here is also a cover : “Everybody’s Gotta Learn” by The KORGIS and again this one works really well too whether it’s the music, the arrangements or the vocals. This is more than promising!/Laurent C.
