Man I do sometimes love the desert-I like to watch the sunrise and sundown everyday cause it reminds me I’m alive, but I kinda miss some city amenities like Chipotle, “Vive le Rock” magazine and indian food and having a place to go where they’re always glad you came. I dread the long lonely sojourn into town to buy postcard stamps at the phramacy for my long estranged children who do not write me back and small scattered roll call of survivor amigoes out there in the plantation states and still struggling with the nicotine addiction, been smoking since I went to Baptist boarding school in the deep South when I was 13. Aint no good fora ya. My rapper friend died from lung cancer two years ago. It’s a bitch. Early morning, still dark out, rummaging through the ashtray for a smokable one hitter. Been back on the $5 discounted stale Pall Malls. Stressful times, lotta anxiety, smoked ’em all down to the last possible half hits and the lighter aint really working too good either. Or my shaky hands and I’m half blind now and my hands and knees and feet are all arthiritic like it might rain. Hope my cigarette butts did not get too wet last night. There was planty of rebellious music that was also glisteningly listenable. I love this band so much. Tim Ferris who joined the Cramps and changed his name to Sugarpie I guess, is the best rocknroll bassplayer aside from I dunno Pete Farndon and Tony James and Patricia Morrison, maybe? Gary reminded be of Brian O’Blivion, a midwestern eccentric talented glam dude who I kinda grew up around. Don is such a fabulous rockstar, I mean who plays drums with all that glam panache aside from Razzle or Jerry Nolan, ya know? What a superstar punknroll motherfucker. I met him, and we did not get along for long, cause we’d shared a common girlfriend, you know how that goes, but man, from afar, I can totally see why she fell in love with him, I just love his whole persona, his style and charisma. I mean, what a trailblazing exceptional rockstar, the whole band, really. You are probably stuck in an MSNBC/CNN bullshit propaganda, blind cult of celebrity worship, social control loop. Turn off the corporate media and get together with people in real life. I was watching an interview with RFK this morning about the three monopolies that own the world and he said that now 30 percent of the wealth is controlled by Republikkkans and indpendents and 70% of the wealth is controlled by Democrats which is why they bury so many stories about corruption in the Ukraine, Democrats undermining rule of law by ceaselessly weaponizing the legal system, revising classic books to conform to their own image, or helping promote censorship of anti war voices, or becoming ouright, active tools of evil empire, like Bono and Angelina Jolie and the Clooneys and Sean Penn who all actively advance more lies for war. So yeah, for me, that kinda confirms my long held belief that the Republicans infiltrated and captured the Democratic party years ago, the same way that industry has captured all our now fake regulatory agencies, and even Dr. Cornel West and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s political campaigns are being ran by insider elite DNC operatives and “former” members of the spy apparatus. ‘Saw a meme about Karl Marx saying, “Argue Over Pro Nouns” that made me chuckle, cause nobody organizes along class lines anymore, or even attempts to uplift or educate, or unite the working class. All the drunkard golf playing blowhards are even becoming anti union. We had one significant anti war protest in this country and the safespace cloistered lockdown left cancel culture pro war pants-suit shitlibs did not participate, because they were mad that some other factions were libertarians, not woke enough, and did not share all their exact same college indoctrinated sacred cow privilege sensitivity views. It’s a batshit world. Even people at the bottom are arguing over bullshit culture war garbage and bragging about holding titles or owning property, or having some weak third hand association with money or fame, or bought and paid for celebrity, or landlord class predator powers. It’s fuckedup, so when a friend sent me a link to some old boomer aged dinosaurs, who came together in their old age to form a good ole fashioned garage band, just because they were all friends and wanted to collaborate and hangout and make a joyful noise, it took me back to a better time, when people were able to have friendships, at least with other people of their same class. I liked some of those sappy middle of the raod commercial jingles they did together..What was cool about Downtown, the now only mythological memory of Greenwich Village in the eighties where I grew up and found myself and finally fit in, and met people like Phoebe Legere, was that back then, it was still an affordable if filthy crime ridden bombed out and derelict melting pot, where you got to rub shoulders in the galleries and illegal after hors parties with people from all over the world. Now sure, some of ’em backslid and became even grosser versions of their sports bar/talk radio pontificating greed is good parents, during college, steadily slipping backwards and subscribing to the usual “got mine” hoarder capitalist shitshow, but some of those people we used to know went on to do some real great stuff and the memories they took with ’em of communal living and solidarity with people who do not dress just like themselves, or pray to the same teleprompter, that shit leaves an important imprint. So that’s always what I tried to do with all my deadend underground basement punk bands–it was all to bring the people together-sure there will always be some saboteur parasites who just show up to mooch beer or hit on the attractive art community, or copycat our look or rip off our songs, but at the end of the day, we were friends having a good time, some of us would say, the best time, cause we dropped all the rank and privilege social hierarchies we were conditioned by the parents with, and got to know each other as equals-space sharing brothers and sisters rather than two word descriptions or color form one dimensional flat stereotypes. Memorably, I was volunteering as a grilled cheese and soup maker in Oregon’s downtown park, providing food for the houseless community-overwhelmingly, veterans with trauma, mothers and teenagers fleeing abusive situations, people with jobs who got evicted by Buddah statue landlords, people with mental illness, immigrant moms with various barriers to employment, and these tedious rich authoritarians always showed up and tried to impose some other agenda on the gathering. They would complain that the houseless veterans weren’t progressive enough or used offensive language, that was the big tool of the privileged college people, saying they were offended. I don’t give a fuck, go away, he deserves to eat. You’d have these nerds going around accusing people of being insufficiently woke and privileged, and distributing their divisive “check your privilege” lists, we were working, busy, actually hands on real time literally serving all the people, so these disruptive, attention seeking, angry, rich, P.C. shitlib college kids are stunning to behold and endure. I was told I was a, cys born patriarchal privileged oppressor with presumed heteronoramtive pass privilege. I did not really have time or patience to get that involved with these annoying gamer cosplay comic-con wankers, but smiled to myslef at how they all demanded the right to be acknowledged as ten things and made up words and bowed down to and promoted to the front of the line and extra special always accomodated, and shit, but were not even hip enough to inquire as to my actual preferences or beliefs or exeperiences or “identity”. They wanted to make up all their own shit and be consoled and pampered and paid for it, but simaltaneously, insist they also had these extra special righst to impose their false judgements on people they had never even met, based on only superficial appearances. Gender aint my religion, I like all kindas people and don’t obey folks just cause they have more money. They were like these cultish gender studies clique puritans who reminded me of the P.M.R.C and Jerry Falwell Moral Majority with the prudish, conflict seeking, overzealous insistance that everyone who did not wear a pink wig plus day glow furry animal backpack MUST BE PUNISHED. The whole idea of freedom and tollerance and grooviness and freaking freely is this: you get yourself free fastest by dropping the dumb fucking pose, dropping out of competetion backstab power tripping, authority seeking, privilege lording, social climber, default unreality, by not trying to beat everyone around you into being a clone of yourself. It’s okay to boogie (and attend anti war protests) with other motherfuckers who have different belief systems or fashions, or ways of dancing than you and your middle class, middle brow sensitive “just us” special privilege college crowd. If you see people working, trying to feed the poor, that aint the time for your navel gazing, primary process, what’s going on between my legs obsessions. My middle class comrades will have to organize or assist their middle class friends, I don’t speak their language, nor do I consent to parroting it, and I don’t believe they care about the poor, or working class at all, only their own privileges and prefernces, that’s boring managerial bullshit.
