This new KEVIN K album was recorded in South Carolina with The Bowery Kats and it features some reimagined versions of songs previously recorded with Kevin’s old bands ROAD VULTURES and LONE COWBOYS. Opening track “Back To You” was written years ago but finally got the recording it deserves with some good AC/DC energy and more cowbell! “Call” and “She” are also two old Kevin’s favorites and they still sound amazing! “A Scary Place” and “More” offer us some loud and snotty DEAD BOYS influenced punk rock’n’roll and if you need more melody then listen to the catchy “I Fell For You” or the hard rock powered “You Said”. Kevin has also always been talented when it comes to writing quieter, melancholic songs like “On Your Own” and “Try”. Finally, “Care” puts an end to this new album and makes you think that KEVIN K still has a lot say and sing about, play it loud! /Laurent c.
