Glam singer Gil Soliz and friends/musicians from Portland got together to offer us some sparkly glam rock’n’roll with a big ROLLING STONES influence (“Star On Fire”, “Sugar Strut”, “Everybody Needs a Little Love”.) If you like wild rock’n’roll with catchy choruses then you’ll love “(Give Me) Money Honey” and “Pretty Little Love Thang” and if you miss the NEW YORK DOLLS then just listen to “Dead and Gone” or “You Look Like a Million Dollars (And Just As Hard To Get.)” You’ll also hear a bit of HOLLYWOOD BRATS in “I Didn’t Catch Your Name” or in “Gimme Rock’N’Roll” and QUIREBOYS fans will rock to “Jukebox Queen” and “Forget You.” The STONES sometimes jam with T.REX in “Shake It Down” or in “Long Legged Lisa” and 50s bubblegum pop is not far when listening to  “Kids Keep Rockin’”, “Yours Truly” and “Rose City.” You’ll also hear a GARY GLITTER influence in “On With The Show”, some ROSE TATTOO in “C’mon Rock N’Roller” and “Gypsy Baby Ride”and “It’s Alright” both have a PRIMAL SCREAM vibe. This is a surprisingly long album (actually a double album) and I usually don’t like long albums but most of the songs are short so you should put it on your list if you need real rock’n’roll. /Laurent C.
