“Would You Believe It” is the first single from the new album of Micko & The Mellotronics which will be out later this month on 31st July.
Micko tells us about the song and video:
“‘The inspiration for ‘Would You Believe It’, came from an expression or an exclamation from my Dad. He was delighted to see me when I appeared whilst he suffered pneumonia in hospital.
I knew there was a song there but not how to frame it. I thought of other significant events and the birth of my son and the emotions that came with it flooded to mind. So first moments/last moments are under discussion. My old song writing mentor Neil Innes RIP said to me, “with parenthood the penny drops, you realise what we are put here primarily to do…make more of ourselves.’”
