We’ve been following RAVAGERS (Baltimore) for a while now. The band mixes power pop, punk rock and glam rock in a pretty interesting way. “Public Hell” opens this album with a bang before offering us some catchy 70s boogie rock with “Razor Love.” The early punk melodies and raw energy of “Total Crime”, “Meet Your Maker” or “Dogs” will delight all fans of the New York bands from the late 70s and the famous British punk slogan “No Future” is being resurrected with the DEAD BOYS (bass player Sam Harris actually also plays in the 2025 version of the DEADS BOYS) tainted “No Tomorrow No Problem.” The punk side of the band can also be heard in the furious “Poison Rite” while “Night Of The Bastard” and “Right To Kill” bring out the band’s glam rock influences. The last track, “Wicked Bones” sounds like a very welcome nod to The LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH that makes you want to hear more. This superb 12″ vinyl including a beautiful insert is out on Wanda Records and the band is currently touring European clubs. /Laurent C.
