FLATHEAD from sunny Marseille, France is a band in which you’ll find members of TOMY & The COUGARS, SEPPUKU, The AGGRAVATION and many more… They have just released this vinyl record on Germany’s finest label Wanda Records. These guys sure like power pop, vocal harmonies and sweet melodies sprinkled with 90s indie pop. Songs like “I Won’t Be Satisfied”, “Far Away, Gone Away” or “Everybody Will Survive” are quite catchy in their own way. The 90s influence can especially be heard in “No One Should Die” and you’ll even get a teenage candy pop ballad with “Sorry”. If you like good power pop hooks then you wont’t be able to resist “All I Want” and if you’re more into melodic punk rock with a glammy touch then “Action Man” is the one for you. The last song “Every Night In My Arms” has a bit of a BEATLES vibe. 25 minutes worth your time and money. Short but very sweet! /Laurent C.
