Candy Riot “Mirrors” (EP)

Austin, TX. Synthpop band CANDY RIOT have been around for a few years now and they have decided to offer us 5 dance-worthy covers starting with The ROMANTICS‘ “Talking In Your Sleep” and more surprisingly The JAM‘s “That’s Entertainment”. A good song is a good song indeed and you can hear it in their own interpretation of Paul Weller’s hit. They also chose to pay tribute to MADONNA with their own version of “Borderline” and to two other 80s icons: BLONDIE with “Heart Of Glass” and BILLY IDOL (“White Wedding”.) This is quite a fun and entertaining EP that could be your next week-end’s dance floor playlist. /Laurent C.
