Tim McBride has been rocking for three decades in the independent music underground. Now a solo artist, he offers us this new album full of surprises. Even though the opening song “Ripped Up The Book” brings The HELLACOPTERS to mind, the second track “Stuck on A Bridge”take us to a much more bluesy territory before going full ballad with “Tender Moments.” The power pop influence can be heard in songs like “Fixation”, “Civility” or “Falling Away Again” and you’ll hear strong punk roots in “Off The Ground” and “Bad Butterflies.” You’ll also find sweet melodies in “Standing On The Gold” and in “Nadia.” The last song “Arteries and Interstates” gets more adventurous with a a quite intense end. A pretty good American rock album! /Laurent C.
