A wonderful power pop track with a garagey underpinning about self-determination, humanity and equality.
‘Animals’ is carried from the verse to the catchy chorus by casually knocked down drumming and smooth oldschool riffing, which is immediately infectious and inevitably burns itself into your brain with every repetition until you can’t help but move. Two and a half minutes in the best tradition of bands such as The Nerves, Clorox Girls and B-52’s that get to the heart, but also to the legs.
