Four songs by Arizona-based noise-rock/power-pop band, JOAN OF ARKANSAS. Names like SONIC YOUTH or BABES IN TOYLAND come to mind when listening to this EP. You’ll hear chaos and melodies flirting together in songs like “Omaha, Oh Nomaha!” or “Neck Deep In The New Money”. You’ll also here some garage rock traces in “Bruise Cruise” and in “Holy Dive Bar”. The band has chosen a DIY approach with with Sean (drummer) engineering, producing, and mastering these four songs and that was a good idea since it gives the band the raw punk sound they need. /Laurent C.
