Montreal punks BAMBIES are back with this new release out on Wanda Records (Europe) and Spaghetty Town Records (USA.) The power pop trio has been playing for 10 years mixing poppy punk and old-school powerpop. Songs like “Love Bite” or “Mute” have a protopunk flavour and BAMBIES display a raw energy reminding of The BRIEFS in songs like”Bad Seed” or in “Devolution” while “No Front Teeth” and “Teenage Night” bring ’77 rawness back. You’ll even hear a glam touch in “Billy Was a Boy”, “Let Me Burn” and “Kiss in The Dust.” The album was recorded in four days with long-time band friend Matt Damron who really captured the essence of the band’s sound. 1, 2, 3, go! /Laurent C.
