Guadalajara hardcore punks Flores y Fuego have released a new music video for the song “Manifiesto Ruin.”

In the provocative video by Visualist Media, lead singer Melisa is bound and eventually suspended by ropes by shibari expert Luis Gore. Meanwhile, she and her band perform a brooding, post-punk inspired song that gives way to full-on hardcore fury as it progresses. The intercut imagery between the band’s performance and the singer being bound is certain to elicit a reaction from viewers.

The song comes from Flores y Fuego’s new split 7” with LA’s Slaughterhouse – available everywhere today – showcasing some of the best punk rock from both sides of the US-Mexico border! Each band contributes two new songs apiece to the record.

Manifiesto Ruin” is the final music video to be released from the split, and now all four songs have accompanying clips:

Flores y Fuego contributes two brand new songs to the split: “Abraza el Fracaso” (“Embrace Failure”) and “Manifiesto Ruin” (“Mean Manifesto”).  Fans have been clamoring for new music since the release of their shattering debut album Altar, and that feverish anticipation has at last been rewarded here.

In the interim, Flores y Fuego’s ferocious live show has made them an in-demand force both at home and abroad, playing shows with a diverse array of bands the likes of TurnstileAmyl & the SniffersSoft KillMESS, and more. These songs journey even further into the darker side of punk than their previous work, but fans can rest assured that lead vocalist Melisa’s signature scream is just as relentless & driving as ever!

On the flip side of the record – and the other side of the border – Slaughterhouse offers up “Poison” & “State of Emergency,” two songs previously only available digitally and as music videos. For the uninitiated, the band have been tearing up the LA scene since 2017 with their ferocious brand of early 80’s death rock infused punk.  Undeterred by the pandemic interruption and a handful of lineup changes, Slaughterhouse are back stronger and more fired up than ever!

With a new singer and new songs, the band’s attitude-driven live performances have rabid fans desperate for more. 2024 for Slaughterhouse has included gigs supporting punk rock legends the likes of Bad Religion and Descendents, playing Punk Rock Bowling, and embarking on on their first European tour, including stops at more high profile festivals like Brakrock & Punk Rock Holiday! If you don’t know Slaughterhouse yet, prepare to be blown away when you see what everyone else has been talking about!

A true double A-side, this record only goes from strength to strength. Both bands are powerhouses on their own, and each contributes their own individualistic cover art. Each song complements the others. Any one of them could be a single in its own right, but combined, they make this split 7” a rare moments of incendiary power.

The Flores y Fuego / Slaughterhouse split 7” is available everywhere fine records are sold as of today via Pirates Press Records. Look for copies on 7” Oxblood Vinyl as well as 7” Oxblood Vinyl with Bone Splatter!
