The EROTICS never fail to deliver heavy sleaze rock with a slight horror punk touch. Nothing really new for the band on this new album but you will still hear good heavy metal guitar riffs (“Let The Dead Times Roll”, “Sold Souls For Revenge”) sometimes reminding of MÖTLEY CRÜE (“Rodent House Blues”) and catchy 80s choruses (“She Loves Her Dynamite”, “The Way You Look At Me”.) You’ll also hear a bit of THIN LIZZY guitars in “Guns At Sundown” and a bluesy ballad (“So Many Wasted Days”.) The most surprising track is probably “Bon Amputee” and its 70s dark psychedelic vibe. The punk metal side of the band can especially be heard on “Whiskey Cadaver” and in the DEAD KENNEDYS cover “Too Drunk To Fuck.” The EROTICS still ROCK! /Laurent C.
