Gwendolyn Miller is a classically trained opera vocalist that toured Europe with her college choir from the University of Idaho before embarking on this exciting new project. “It’z Naut Me It’z U” opens this EP in an original and powerful mix somewhere between The VERONICAS and SPINNERETTE. There’s also a grungy touch in these songs, especially in “2 Bad 4 U” that also surprises us with a hip-hop bridge. Things get quiet with the acoustic pop songs “Honey” and “Don’t B Lost” in which you’ll hear a lot of feelings and emotion. This EP displays too different sides of VENUS LOVE and is definitely worth checking out. /Laurent C.
