Seattle’s SCOTT YODER raises the sparkling glam-psyche rock flag high with this new 12 song album. “Half-lived Phantasy” opens with a mood and vibe between early BOWIE and The JACOBITES. “Sing Your Broken Son” and “No Surprise” both have a sweet 60s garage taste while “The Guttersnipe” raises a glass to 70s psyche-folk. Sometimes it feels like Marc Bolan and Chris Isaac are jamming together (“Sweet Breath of Love”, “Good Gone”, “Who Killed The Lights”) and Scott makes nostalgia sounds beautiful in “Canopy of Night” and “Hole Heart”. Songs like “Too Foolish” and “Mind of a Child” bring the carefree attitude of the 60s to mind and “Cold Shoulder” evokes the glamour of ROXY MUSIC. “Scooter Pie” is a wondeful cosmic trip!/Laurent C.
