Only ’bout two others left who still seem to remember any of it at all. They are both struggling to get by and protect their familes just like I am. Babysitters and designated drivers and money to burn are privileges of the middle class we peasants can never afford. In 16 years, me and my wife have never had a date night, ya know? A real nice old, crazy battleaxe we have come to love from a local junk shop keeps inviting us to her lodge for dinner and drinks and just does not understand that we can not leave out 16 year old autistic kid alone at home or risk getting a DUI by driving 15 miles outta town and back. Parenting teenagers with disabilities can be hard even if you have some money, but since we do not and the ruling class has jacked all the rent and bills up so impossibly high, all we can think about now is how miraculously turn a nickel into twenty five bucks and it’s really been taking a toll on our health this past year as we cope with maxmum stress, and the pressure to please our so called higherups, and end up grinding our teeth and experiencing all the side effects of PTSD symptoms. I gotta go help paint some wall today-the amount of time and energy we put into these side hustles is way beyond what we ever get paid. Middle class Karens still think paying me fifteen bucks an hour for doing outdoor slave labor is the going rate, but ya know, Wal Mart people (been there, too, and the knees still suffer from it) are even up to like thirteen fifty in some places and that don’t come close to covering rent in this ripoff country. Only people I know under sixty who aint struggling hard, are nepo babies, ya know what I’m sayin’? Brunch bunch-the Thank Obamas. Hipster Big Hats. City Slickers. I can’t relate to those fuckers at all, but the gentrifiers colonize every fucking thing, ya know? somebody said online that the corporations even co opted punk rock and now here we are in holocaust times and all we see or hear from so called punks is some Vote Blue No Matter Who Cause We’re Rich Corporate Celebrities Too Chickenshit To Call For a Ceasefire on tv substitute standin fakes and fraud squads. I miss drinking and putting on makeup back when I could still afford contacts and getting ready to go nightclubbing with the gang. All the old punks are dead and gone, it really gets me down. I don’t really count the suckups and sellouts as punks no matter how much pop trash they own. Ya know? I was way more into exaggerated glam like Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Pete Burns, and Boy George than my latterday bandmates cause it attracted too much negative attention from the rabid smalltown locals, which was a big reason they kinda resassembled without me. They all wanted to fit in and be popular while I was considered too mad, bad, and dangerous to know. Now I am old and there aint no punk rockerss ’round here at all. Big bummer.
