Norway’ sleaze rock kings SUICIDE BOMBERS are back with a 5th album four years after the hard hitting “Murder Couture”. This time the party starts with a kitsch and sexy intro before diving into pure madness with a powerful “Dynamite Playboys.” “Take It Off” is not the KISS song but still a good hard rock tune while “Tonight Belongs To Us” has a bit of a cool ROGUE MALE vibe and a pretty memorable chorus. “Out of Love” will bring you back to the hair metal days while “You Better Belive” rocks with a guitar riff à la Steve Stevens. Now you probably have understood that these guys mostly take their influences from the flamboyant 80s and the WASP tainted “All For The Candy” won’t contradict this. Heavy rock fans will sure dig “Caligulizer” and those who want more melody in their hard rock will enjoy “Videodrome 2049” and “Last Call”. The band tried something different with the epic “Where Time Always Goes” before the outro leaves us with a few French words. When it comes to 80s influenced hard rock, you won’t find anything better these days! /Laurent C.
