These Swedish punk rock’n’rollers already have five albums out and it seems like they are not ready to give up. Opener “Livin’ On Lust” and fast punk “I Wanna Clone” both display as much energy as a young band releasing their first album while the single “Why Wait” mixes guitar melodies to a simple catchy chorus.Early HELLACOPTERS sometimes come to mind (“Foggy Man”, “Hard Livin’”) and just like them, The BOATSMEN also rock with a 70s KISS in “Take Me.” Some of these songs like “Waiting For The Weekend”,”All The Things I Do”, “Champagne In My Heart” or the punk hardcore influenced “My Party” will definitely make you want to have fun and party. Things get sleazier with “Rock’n’Roll Explosion” and end with a bang with “B-Men.” If you like TURBONEGRO, The HELLACOPTERS or DANKO JONES then this album is for you!/Laurent C.
