DONZII (pronounced dawn-ZEE) are from sunny Miami, Florida but sound like they could be from grey and rainy England. “Penetrate” opens the EP with funky bass, Siouxsie-like vocals and cold wave atmospheres, “John Wayne” gets more experimental, almost like no wave hip-hop with post-rock guitars! Some 80s influences can also be heard in “Rollercoaster” mixing funky guitars and groovy percussions while “Lizzy” sounds like a late night jam between jazz and post-punk musicians. The two last songs are remixes by friends of the band, the dystopian synthpop “Fun” (Brutus VIII Remix) and the retrofuturistic funky “Crash Landing” (Mr Twin Sister Remix.)
