Birmingham rock’n’rollers are back in January with their second album “Vive La Révolution” out on Easy Action Records. Opening song “No Pity” takes us somewhere between the raw energy of garage rock and the dark mysterious groove of The LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH! This new album was produced and mixed by Alex McGowan (JIM JONES &THE RiIGHTEOUS MIND, SON OF DAVE, URBAN VOODOO MACHINE) and the powerful yet natural sound is really convincing. The spirit of The CLASH meets psyche in “Everything is Ruined” and glam punks won’t be disappointed with “Loose Lips” and “Good Time Gone.” These guys are no newcomers since they have played in bands like GUNFIRE DANCE, The GODFATHERS and WALTER LURE so they have more than one string to their bow: Whether they sound more heavy rock (“Pretty Boy”), 60s garage (“What Do You See”) or almost grungy (“Last Bite”) they do it right. They even throw a few oriental spices in “The Price”, get more chaotic in “Sometimes” and offer us a sleazy version of BOWIE“s “Boys Keep Swinging” but they always do it with style. This album will make you want to scream “What do we want? REVOLUTION! When do we want it? NOW!” /Laurent C.
