Teachers and admin do nothing but cover their own asses for the bare minimum paychecks. Kids who did unspeakably horrific hazing shit to younger athletes on camera were not expelled, they only scapegoated an asssistant coach, you know, as not to inconvenience rich politician and influential fatcat rancher parents, so yeah public schools are still one big, meanspirited, school to prison pipleline, underfunded shitshow, they can’t keep qualified staff, like George Carlin said decades ago, this is all by design, how the owners want it. They spend all the money on domestic spying, propagandizing the gatekeepers, and depopulating with evil cluster bomb weapons of war. I’ve been wanting to get back into doing music, I’ve been ready for awhile now, but there aint nothin’ happening at all where I am, aside from a really lackluster craft beer joint where it’s eight dollars a pint plus tip, and all the open mic night natives are like, elderly folkies playing tired old covers and cargo shorts Dave Matthews types. The two or three halfhearted hipsters who play guitars are too fixated on making their gentrified tourist traps more profitable, so ya know that aint really the risktaker bohemian, wild hearted artistic abandon I’m seeking out. ‘Long time ago when we wuz glam, and just learning how to really write memorable songs, it was me on cigarette scabby vocals and writing all the heartbreak stories, Doctor Doctor Dave on flash lead guitar, Nasty Bastard on AC/DC riffage and lead motorcycle crashes, Goth Tony on 12 string, and sometimes Pop Mark from Walden Pond, we’d hunker down in an extra dingy, darkened basement, frequently with our drinking buddies from Tower Records-Barrie, Dermot, Sam, and Big Mike, sometimes with a sax player named Hollywood Bob, and a fanzine writer named Sleaze, and my main template back then were the songs of Dogs D’Amour, the Deadboys, Hollywood Brats, Vibrators, the Stiv Bators “Disconnected” band-I learned a lot from all those idols and dolls. It really was sortof like a graveyard of empty bottles down there. We were poor, we were desperate, we were wearing scarves. Mighta been some drinkin’. Next thing was when we’d discovered the Beasts Of Bourbon, Comatones, Gunfire Dance, Pillbox, Rowland S. Howard, all of whom kinda helped us develop our own sound, but by that time, people were dating distracting girlfriends demanding they go to college, drummers kept fucking off to formulaic so called pop/punk Green Day bands, and there was no way to really get to the next level without money to record with so it was kindof a lifelong lost cause bummer. Over and out, ya know?
