Chicago glam rock’n’rollers TAFKAVINCE BAND are back with a self-released 10″ vinyl record with an artwork mixing surrealist collages to old opera visuals.”Expiration Dates” starts the party with the fun Rocky Horror tainted “Expiration Date” in which TAFKAVince and Lauren Kurtz vocals work very well together. “Sugar Pills” brings a RAMONES touch to the EP while “Conquer The World” might remind you of BOWIE‘s “Jean Genie” or DUTRONC‘s “La Fille du Père Noël” if you’re French! You’ll hear some cool cowbell in “Magazine Pages”, a song that was released on video a few weeks ago and “Rabbit Hole” has an interesting 70s vibe to it. (and a bit of cowbell too!)”A Problematic Opera” is the last song of this 10″ record and it ends the party with a bold mix of proto-punk and baroque waltz. Join the fun! /Laurent C.
