Philadelphia rock’n’roll gang RUNHIDEFIGHT offers us two songs in which classic garage rock’n’roll meets wild protopunk. You’ll hear some guitar riffs influenced by The KINKS, some slight surf rock touches and some riot girl lead vocals in “He’s A Jerk.” “Because I Love You” has more psych to it, think 60s garage with Indian (Bollywood style) sitar! This 7″ is out on Hidden Volume Records. RUNHIDEFIGHT are quite a new band since they played their first show last year, but they already sound as a tight unit. Opening for PERE UBU, PAUL COLLINS BEAT or The PLIMSOULS among others might have helped. We’ll definitely keep an eye on them! /Laurent.
