Crazy Lixx “Anthem For America”

These dudes are probably a lot more rah rah go team, flag waver, conservative than I am, but man, oh man, here is a song with an actual poignant and valid message, opposing the ever-tightening narrative control, severely limited playlists, and incrementally vanquished sound of rebellious, heartfelt music from your tv and radios. This ain’t punk rock, but there’s a sincere and meaningful message being conveyed, and you never hear that anywhere, anymore. At least not in the USA! USA! Like Willie Nelson sang in his timeless anthem, “Whatever Happened To Peace On Earth”, you won’t hear no message of love or truth on tv or radio, that’s not consolidated media’s function. At least not since since Bush/Cheney dismantled the Bill Of Rights and Obama told folks that it’s woke and classy to censor all independent voices, and they consolidated the mass media into 5 bully pulpit propaganda loudspeakers of the Davos billionaire super rich. These diehard spandex wearers called Crazy Lixx will remind oldsters of Ratt and Skid Row and they are singing a righteously rousing hairspray metal, protest anthem(!!!) about rocknroll being taken off the public airwaves and replaced with: phony, no soul techno, capitalist greedhead designer brand rap bullshit, and occultist hip-pop, the never ending and relentless glorification of a dystopian police state and forever wars based on lies for oil companies and surveillance tech scumbags and weapons manufacturers. I dig it! Back comb your hair! Singalong! /General Labor.

Plastic Tears release “Doomsday Girls” video/single

“Doomsday Girls” is taken from the album ‘Anthems For Misfits’ album that was released earlier this year through Wormholedeath Records. It’s clear from the first beats of the song and video that you’re in for an energetic and fun rock’n’roll burst. Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Doomsday!

The video was edited by Eco Inkinen and shot at Suvilahti skatepark and Hietaniemi cemetery in Helsinki. These two surroundings contrast each other well and Elina Laine does an excellent job as the doomsday girl.

John Corabi releases new single/video “Cosi Bella (So Beautiful)”

John Corabi, the Nashville, TN -based iconic front-man, has released his new single “Cosi Bella (So Beautiful)” today.

The song is available now on all digital platforms: https://ffm.to/cosibella.

Cosi Bella (So Beautiful)” was produced and co-written in Nashville, TN, with Marti Frederiksen (AerosmithOzzy Osbourne). “Cosi Bella (So Beautiful)” is the first of several new singles coming! “Cosi Bella’ came about from a writing session I did with Marti for The Dead Daisies ‘Burn It Down’ record,” states Corabi. “I had the initial verse idea, and a chorus that didn’t quite work for the tune. I played it for Marti, and he liked the idea but gave me a better idea for the chorus. We recorded the rough idea on my phone, with both of us just scatting the melody. The Daisies heard the idea but felt it didn’t quite fit their format, so I put it to bed for a bit.

After leaving the band in 2019, I started to revisit old ideas I had and sat down and recorded the track. Being new to ProTools, I took the song as far as I could and sent it to Marti to produce. I explained the song was musically inspired to a degree by ‘Penny Lane’ by The Beatles and ‘Killer Queen’ by Queen, so Marti and his son Evan recut the drums and bass, and added some horns, and sprinkled their magical fairy dust on the track to give it that shiny polished sound! I wrote the lyrics, and after singing the song, I felt ‘SO BEAUTIFUL’ was kind of an average title, so I looked those words up in a translation app and found it in Italian (Cosi Bella) and felt it had a nice ring to it! It’s not what some people truly expect from me, but I LOVE the way the song turned out, and it’s just a happy little upbeat love song with a twist! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”

John Corabi is a true Journeyman in the hard rock world, including stints as lead vocalist for The ScreamMötley CrüeThe Eric Singer Project (ESP), UnionThe Dead Daisies, and as guitarist for Ratt.

Lorne Behrman releases “When I Hit The Floor” single/video

“Real blood and guts rock and roll that bleeds with soul and redemption.”

Jesse Malin, 2021

NYC rocker LORNE BEHRMAN, the singer-songwriter-guitarist who previously played in The Dimestore Haloes, L.E.S. Stitches, The Dead Tricks and most recently The Sweet Things, shares his debut solo single + video, “When I Hit The Floor.”

The rocking-but-reflective “When I Hit The Floor”–a song about “substance abuse and hitting bottom,” says LORNE—is the first release from his debut solo EP of the same name, due October 15 on Spaghetty Town Records. The single is now available on all streaming platforms.

The four-song EP When I Hit The Floor was produced by Matt Chiaravalle (Warren Zevon, Joe Bonamassa, Spacehog) at NYC’s Mercy Sound Studios and mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Joe Lambert. Lorne played all the guitars, wrote all the songs, and sang all the leads. Joining him are drummer Hector Lopez (Alejandro Escovedo/The Sweet Things), keyboardist Rob Clores (Jesse Malin, Black Crowes, Alejandro Escovedo), and singer Dana Athens (Jane Lee Hooker).

The video for “When I Hit The Floor” was directed by David J Barron and set in Brooklyn, specifically the areas of Midwood, Kensington, and Bay Ridge.  The video was shot on 9-minutes of film with a Bolex H16 handheld camera from the 1970s.
