LIPSTICK VIBRATORS are one of the rare French action rock bands to still be alive and kicking (they started in 2006.) Here they are back with 6 new songs on a vinyl record released by Wanda Records. The opening track “Falling Down” is quite catchy and the second one “Neurotic” displays strong Scandinavian punk rock’n’roll influence. LIPSTICK VIBRATORS also have their roots deep in proto punk and you can definitely hear this in “Revolution Baby”, “Lockdown” or “Partners In Crime.” On the other hand, you’ll also hear a bit of post-punk in “Vivid Dreams” and “Amphetamine Blues.” If you’re more into in your face punk rock, then listen to “Two Fisted Drinker” and if you enjoy fine punk rock guitar melodies, then check out “Stranded”. “Burning Inside” has a cool DEAD BOYS vibe, “Workers” stands somewhere in between Australian punk rock and American street punk and “Do The Pop” has a sparkly NY glam touch to it. Get this album if you need your raw punk’n’roll fix! /Laurent C.
