North Carolina’s CAM GIRL are bringing back the girl power of bands like L7 or BIKINI KILL with a good dose of glam metal and a retro futuristic image. “Girls… To The Top!!” and “Bubblegum Revolution” both hit hard from the start with catchy choruses and hard rockin’ guitar riffs. Things don’t slow down with the heavy rock “Face The Facts” and the metallic “Stand Back”. If you’re looking for an anthem, then just listen to “Girls Gotta Eat” or “I Want Your Rock!” and if you want more heavy metal madness then “Back Sabbath” is the one for you. “Ice Cream N’ Soda Pop” starts like a video game soundtrack and then turns into a glam punk hit while “Plastic Princess” brings more pop to the album before the epic end with “Flesh & Chrome.” This is the album you need if you want to hear something fresh, flamboyant and fun with an in-your-face attitude! /Laurent C.
