RATTLE BONES from Pittsburgh, PA is fronted by Gary Martin (The CLAWS) and delivers a cool mix of 70s bluesy hard rock and 80s heavy rock. Hard rockin’ guitar riffs and sweet vocal harmonies flirt together in “Terminal Romance” while the shadow of The ROLLING STONES wanders around “Night Music” and “One Moment”. “Desert Heart” has a cool HANOÏ ROCKS meets DOGS D’AMOUR vibe and “Driving All Night” is a soulful rock ballad. The band really knows how to write catchy hard rock songs, just listen to “Silver Bullets”, “Halcyon Times” or “Forevermore” and gets close to the QUIREBOYS with “Dark Skies”. The band’s description “Saturday night excess meets Sunday morning regret” sounds quite right when listening to this 10 song album. Check it out! /Laurent C.
