Gene Simmons is high, Rock N Roll is not dead, he’s just out of touch!
This year was a good year for rock and roll and it looks like it will be better in 2025 judging by the following acts that I’ve been jamming to, so don’t listen to the hype and check out these artists. PS, Los Angeles is getting ready for the return of Michael Monroe live at the Rainbow Bar and Grill Backyard Party in April 2025.
New Skeletal Faces are a San Diego, Ca. based Goth Industrial Punk band that has been kicking up dust with their new release “Until The Night” and regional touring. Great sound and live show.
The Struts have a release they have been touring to promote “Pretty Vicious”, that is a great slab of Glam Pop Rock & Roll. Young bucks rocking all over the globe, been digging them for a while and they keep putting out good stuff.
StarCrawler from Los Angeles, Ca. are a trashy garage band that keep touring and have a new release “She Said” that rocks. They are touring the wheels off the van as we speak so check them out if you get a chance.
Marilyn Manson is back from being cancelled with his new release “One Assassination Under God” and the tour to promote it. He’s back to his old form and sound and looks to have survived being dropped by every one of his agencies and record company. His 6.6 million followers prove rock & roll survives.
Michael Schenker OG rocker from UFO fame has a new release of redone songs from his UFO career with guest vocalists and artists “My Years With UFO”. He’s road dogging promoting this release so give a listen, it’s a fave of mine right now cuz I love UFO!
Post Mortem Superstar is a new local Los Angeles, Ca. industrial Goth Thrash band featuring Toe Knee from Willow Wisp fame on drums and mastermind duties. Great live show and sound that’s horrifying crowds locally and down south in Mexico. Find them on Instagram and Bandcamp and give them a follow, but have a change of underwear ready, they will scare you shitless!
PS, the new release by OG LA shock rockers Rebel Rebel “We’re Better Than We Used To Be, and We Used To Be The Best” is available on all digital platforms or get a physical copy at rebelrebel.org
