EN ESCH has worked with famous bands like KMFDM and PIGS. This first LP in eight years brings back the spirit of such bands while offering new blood and vision. “Get Lost” (featuring Vas Kallas of HANZEL UND GRETYL) is heavy with apocalyptic metal guitars and “I’m So Sick” (featuring LORDS OF ACIDS‘ Mea Fischer), “Wumms (feat. PIG’s Raymond Watts)” and Push (feat. Raymond Watts. Erica Dilanjian, & Gabriel Lennox) are definitely dancefloor oriented with repetitive bass drums and a little psychedelic goth touch. Things get sexier with “If You Don’t Know Me, You Cannot Judge Me” and its early NIN vibe. It’s not very difficult to imagine “Eden” and “Wahrhaftige Täuschung ” as movie soundtracks and “Do It (feat. PIGFACE‘s Hope Nicholls)” played in underground London parties while people dance to “Yum Yum Beauty & The Nasty Thief (feat. Guenter Schulz) in early morning Berlin clubs. You’ll also hear a very good and surprising cover of FAITH NO MORE‘s hit “Epic (feat. Mea Fischer)” and a very 80s synthpop inspired “The Sweetest Aggravation (feat. Gabriel Lennox and Erica Dilanjian.) “World of Deceit” puts and end to this album in a quiet yet mysterious way. The best industrial album I’ve heard in a while!/Laurent C.
