Highly active rock band FAST EDDY are back with an 8 song new album. Opening track “Steppin Stone” tells us about the futility of the future of humanity with modern heavy rock guitars and melodic vocals before “Lucky Strike” takes us somewhere between punk rock and contemporary garage rock. The band also flirts with Brit pop on “In Too Deep” and brings D.A.D. To mind on “Lost Child.” A song like “The Rapture” has a bit of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE into it while “No More Neon Lights” is not too far from late HELLACOPTERS. Power and melody are key words to FAST EDDY and DANKO JONES also comes to mind when listening to the hard rockin’ “Spirit Commander”. The last song “Grey Day” will surprise you with its hooks and BEATLES tones. You’ll probably be able to check out the band live in Europe this year. /Laurent C.
