Singer/Songwriter PAT TODD sure doesn’t like to waste his time, he’s already back with a 14 song album out on Hound Gawd! Records just 6 months after the release of “Son Of The City Ditch” on Dog Meat Records. If you liked the four previous solo albums and The LAZY COWGIRLS then you won’t be disappointed with heartfelt punk rock side openers “Why I Sing” and “The Company You Keep” or the NEW YORK DOLLS tainted “Lie’n’ Money & A Bad Disguise” and “Victim Of Dedication.”You’ll also get some melodic heavy rock’n’roll with “Big Talk With Guitars” and “That Little Bit Of Nothin’”, some catchy hooks in “A World Up For Sale”, “Galavantin’”, “You’re Gonna Lose It All” or in “Lies, Lies & More Lies” and the country/Americana touch can still be heard in “Poison Your Water” or in “Just Another Stupid Guy.” Of course you’ll hear a bit of STONES in “Sold Me Out For The Love Of A Dollar” and the album surprisingly ends with a great rearranged version of LEONARD COHEN‘s “Tower Of Song”. Whether you like The DOLLS, The STONES, The BLACK CROWES or SOCIAL SISTORTION, you can go for it, this is the real deal!/Laurent C.
