Rising in retrograde from the underground musical oasis of Boise, VENUS LOVE is waging a war in defense of individualism and self-identity.  Their debut single “2 Bad 4 U” explores the lack of introspective compassion from the opposite sex with witty sarcasm and a touch of self-humiliation, ultimately culminating in an exploding climax of exasperation.  “After years of disappointments, you start to sing a different tune. “2 Bad 4 U” was written as an open invitation for everyone to look in the mirror and see the worth standing directly in front of them.  If you don’t respect yourself, nobody else will.  This song is the new soundtrack for taking out the trash,” explains VENUS LOVE chanteuse Gwendolyn Miller.

Gwendolyn is a classically trained opera vocalist that toured Europe with her college choir from the University of Idaho before embarking on this exciting new project. “Nothing has ever been more pleasurable than expressing deep emotional sensations through melodies and vocal pitch. I live to express what’s eating at me from the inside,” states the singer.  “So much happens second by second, day to day…. why not speak to the desires our egos’ crave in a dramatic, theatrical fashion?…. we’re all feeling them anyway.”

VENUS LOVE will release their debut EP on 4/05 via streaming.  This collection blends gorgeous acoustic numbers against straight ahead rockers with a touch of urban flair.  Her influences include Falling in Reverse, Avril Lavigne, Jaden Hossler (Jxdn), Muse, Chevelle, Fefe Dobson, Evanescence, Marilyn Manson, Deftones, 30 Seconds to Mars and Nothing but Thieves.  VENUS LOVE is currently scheduling live dates to promote this release.
