New Yorker LORNE BEHRMAN is back with a second full length album. “So, I Think of You” opens on a LOU REED vibe followed by “The Blues Goes On Forever” bringing 00s NY rock to mind. You’ll hear some NEW YORK DOLLS influences in “The Bellevue Song” and songs like “Blue Eyes Gone Green”, “I’ll Say It Again” or “Barbara” will take you to artsy 60s atmospheres while “Meet Me on The Moon” and “Ferris Wheels” both bring images of 70s New York to mind. If you look for cinematic moods, then listen to “You Don’t Know Me Like That” or the soul/funk tainted “Going Slowly Down”. “Love In Desperate Times” closes the album in a classy and positive way leaving hope for the future. This is New York rock just like LOU REED, TELEVISION or PATTI SMITH used to play, simple and poetic. It would be a pity not to give it a try! /Laurent C.
