When I met Brother Wayne, he walked straight up to be and said, “Hello, I’m Wayne” ’cause he could intuitively tell I would be going out of my way to not be the kind of blackahired Hanoi Rocks kid he had to meet every night. When I told him n Margaret that my friend Bootsy X had an apartment fire, he and Margaret sent a check the next day, when he rejected my old band demos I sent to be considered for Muscle Tone Records, he did so in the most encouraging and compassionate and loving and sincere way possible. We spoke on the phone a bit but he was kinda dedicated to recovery and I was nowhere near ready to quit drinking. I have an MC5 tattoo. I love them. God bless him.
