EXILE IN THE DEADEND DESERT GHOST TOWN
The bullshit rich get richer forever-wars economy and post Covid shutdowns super inflation is wrecking havoc on the lives and families of the working class, and if you have any conscience at all, the USA funded genocide and ethnic cmeansing going on in Palestine makes it hard to sleep nowadays, so I’ve been less and less inclined to really care much about sewing together much in the way of pop culture commentary columns these days as all my thoughts are tending to be on the mass corruption of our government and media by Davos billionaires who have repeatedly announced they want war with Russia, China, and Iraq, and to depopulate the planet and kill all the cows for some nefarious greenwash agenda. Bobby Kennedy Jr.’s campaign is being run by “former” CIA and he is being funded by some bad billionaires and is suddenly cheerleading for Netanyahu, and even advocating for more censorship, now. None of us really know what’s going on behind the secenes with the Dr. Cornel West and Dr. Jill Stein presidential campaigns, other than they have seemingly been hijacked by corporatist DNC insiders. The Republikkkans are all plain loony, outright batshit WEF warpigs, at least as bloodthirsty as the demented Biden administration. I did read a great book called, “PUNK UNDER THE SUN” from HoZak records, about the South Floridian eighties punk scene that I thoroughly enjoyed. Kinda transported me back to my basement punk glam rock youth. All I know is most of the music I hear nowadays “sounds like dead ham”, to borrow a lyric from Iggy Pop. I sure do miss having somewhere to go and see cool underground, working class punk bands. I just see all the Richie Rich inheritance kids running around spending their parents money on vanity brands and dead horse cover versions. I don’t talk to many people I used to know anymore cause they all seem so hopelessly hellbent on protecting and preserving the horrific status quo, all they can really seem to do is regurgitate top down assigned corporatist narrative slogans of the day. The billionaires who own our ten food companies and four media monoliths don’t really care if you self identify as Woke or Maga, as Socialist or Capitalist, as Democrat or Republikkan, as Woo Woo or Gobbeldygook, so long as you shut the fuck up and goose step obediently into more futile, destructive, and inhumane world wars and genocide. Blackrock and Vanguard are buying up all the farmland and rental properties while the boomers keep jacking up the rents. Everybody on tv is always lying. It sucks. I know people who hate Muslims, Mexicans, Iraquis, black folks, the homeless, anybody, everybody except their own elite Starbellied Sneetch country club cliques, and they really do seem to enjoy vicariously supporting the so called winners and cheering for genocide and repeating excuses for lies, false justifications for mass murdering innocents, actually, actively cheering for censorship and propagandists. That’s how invested they are in their personal privileges and in protecting their preferred partisan politics fake sports team, even though there are mountains of evidence that suggest the whole sham is completely rigged and both parties are funded by the same exact oligarchical assholes. Fake media talks all day about gridlock, but there is only gridlock when it comes to ever helping the poor, both war parties are totally dedicated to forever wars and shredding what’s left of the Constitution for their big banker bosses. The IDF occupation army trains the cops here, Atlanta’s city hall just ignores the overwhelmingly populist people’s demand that no big corporation funded fascist urban warfare training complex be built in the Georgia forest. No phony baloney members of the fake progressive “Squad” or Bernie Soldout ever steps forth to decry the assassnination of hands up teee sitting forest defenders, or crooked government going after the peaceful protestors with Rico charges. Democracy is dead. Eighty percent of the population opposes this latest Nato savagery, but the politicians are all owned and controlled, in no way do any of them represent the interests or values or preferences of the majority, even in spite of all the relentless propaganda pounding. All they got to offer us is the same old culture war distractions and fear mongering about how the “other” party is somehow worse, or somehow always to blame, even as the current party is doing all the stuff the “Other” party does….right now, in real time, with great gusto and smirking unity. I wanna run away but there’s nowhere to flee to anymore. I suspect much of the world feels that way under boot of all the rich people facist authoritarian killers and war profiteer merchants of death. Like Willie sang, Whatever Happened to Peace On Earth?
