Announcing the return of the Glitter and Glam Rockfest to Boardners in Hollywood Ca., (home to Bar Sinister), first started in 1995 with a residency at the infamous Coconut Teazer in Hollywood California.
Tim Yasui, VP at Cleopatra Records and veteran drummer of the bands London and Spiders n Snakes decided to revive the Glitter and Glam jam after a recent gig with his new band Hollywood After Dark and Rebel Rebel and Molly Vamp at the legendary Rainbow Bar and Grill was such a success.
The first show will feature Severed, Molly Vamp (Billy from The Peppermint Creeps), Hollywood After Dark (ex-Hollywood Stars, London, Spiders N Snakes), The Glimmer Stars and Post Mortem Superstar (featuring Tony from willow Wisp). DJ Ziggy Rex will be spinning Glam Rock all night long and there will be band swag giveaways and rock star MC’s and guests. It will be a 6,6,6 night with 6 bands for $6 and $6 drink specials.
With a glam scene lacking in Hollywood at present with the exception of occasional glam related events at the Rainbow Bar annual Parking lot shows and the Whiskey bringing acts such as Angel, Pretty Boy Floyd, Foxy Roxx, The 69 Eyes, Faster Pussycat and Wig Wam, the return of the Glitter and Glam shows will hopefully breathe life back into the Hollywood rock n roll scene.~Teddy Heavens
