Spanish rock’n’rollers BULLET PROOF LOVERS started just two years ago, but they sound as if they’ve been playing together for more than 10 years: Tight punk rock with big melodic hard rock hooks (“She’s Gonna Leave”, “Master of My Destiny”) and 80s powerpop touches (“It’ll Be Alright”, “Nothing I Can’t Do”), you sure have to get the right line-up to play this, and it seems like they really do!
The band even walks on the wild punk’n’roll territory with “Leave Me Alone” or “Never Too Loud”, and a song like “Breaking Down” brings MARVELOUS 3 to mind. This record is out on Rum Bar Records, always the right place to get good rockin’ stuff!/Laurent C.
