The Bloodtypes “Johnny” 7″

BloodtypesJohnny

Red and white cold war/communist designs, vintage keyboards, tight playing and poppy female vocals. Everything here could make you think that this band appeared in this world between 1976 and 1982, but they actually got together in 2010 and already have an album (“Just Your Type”) out.
On this new 4 song 7″, their love of fine power pop melodies (“Johnny”, “Destroy The Heart”) sometimes brings BLONDIE to mind, and they managed to mix the energy of X to the 80s sexy spirit of Kim Wilde and Dick Dale‘surf guitars in “Alien Eyes”.
The punker side of the band shows more on “Don’t Wanna”, a song that brings images of white glasses, bleached hair and customized suit jackets to mind!
There’s something irresistible about The BLOODTYPES, and this 7″ will not only leave you with wanting to hear more, but will also make you want to see the band live. Mission accomplished! Speaking of missions, how can’t you not love a band that says this in their biography: “Their mission: keep new-wave fun alive in a scene that had become tiresome bearded urban folk (or whatever).”/Laurent C.
